Book cards

 Congratulations for the graduate 2012!
Not only will the recipant recieve the card, she will receive the charm I made as well as a gift card. Congratuations on your graduation Lexi.
I think on this Mother's Day one, lace would finish it off nicely. What is your opinion?
I completed these book cards, one for graduation and one for Mother's day. Not sure if I am finished with them yet. They seem to look bare still. If you would like to know how to make these, leave a comment below and I will get up an tutorial and such.

Couple common sites I use.

The site I use for swaps so far is yourpaperpantry.ning.com. This site offers you to join and and being able to choose from different swaps each month. To join this site, it only cost $12 a year. They offer different types of swaps. Charm, stick pins, ATC, recipe cards, and so many more. If anyone has other sites that they would like to share that host swaps, please share. I will post a lot of my "swap" work here.

Also, another site I have found is myscraproom.com and this site I have participated with challenges and you can win free items. The first challenge I particpated in was a 12x12 layout. The host will post what the challenge is and then on that Sunday the challenge will close. To win, it will be all those that participated will be placed in a drawing and the host will make a video and post on you tube to show whos name was drawn. To participate, all you have to do is follow the challenge rules and requirements, do your project and then just take a photo and post it. No need to mail in challenge, you are able to keep the project. Just complete it and post a photo and if you are lucky, your name can be drawn. She will also show what you will win. When I won my first challenge, I recieved flat back pearls, paper bags for a mini, and some prima flowers. Now how cool is that? I just made the project, posted the photo and my name was drawn. Pretty simple and you get to show off your work.

Your paper pantry stick pin swap

Your paper pantry stick pin swap for the month of April. Theme was anything reminding you of the rain. Were to make four sets of three stick pins with at least three beads. These two were my sets that I made. The images were done with water color pencils and even though you may not be able to see it, but I used glossy accents and made rain drops on the cards. You will be able to see many more different swaps at yourpaperpantry.ning.com

First vintage piece

My very first vintage birthday card I made for a friend of mine. Believe it came out awfully cute. Because i am new at scrapbooking and slowing gathering supplies, I don't have a whole lot of stamping material so the images of the girls you see are some vintage clip art I gathered from the internet. The flowers are from the wedding section of Hobby lobby where I think sprayed with my own homemade glimmer mist. I am a rookie at this as of now but will continue to learn and post what all learn for each project.  happy birthday Stacy
